SUPPORT FOR VULNERABLE GROUPS AS A RESULT OF THE COVID19 OUTBREAK
Different groups of people in the UK are experiencing the Coronavius pandemic and the lockdown very differently. One area of concern is the impact of the pandemic on mental health and how this is affecting some groups much more than others.
Social isolation, bereavement, loss of income, reduced access to mental health services and fear trigger mental health conditions and exacerbate existing ones. Many people face increased levels of substance misuse, alcohol and drug use, insomnia, and anxiety.
MMI plays a fundamental role in helping combat the effects of the COVID Pandemic on mental health. Our service users are amongst the most vulnerable in society, already battling challenging conditions. We have worked tirelessly since the initial Lockdown in March 2020 to ensure that we reach out to our service users and help provide the support that is crucial for survival, as well as for both physical and mental health.
Do not suffer alone! Please get in touch with us if you need support. We are here to help in any way that we can.
